Tomodachi
(TOH-moh-DAH-chee): A Japanese word meaning "friend"
The Oregon Tomodachi Recovery Fund supports Japan's ongoing recovery effort after the catastrophic March 11th, 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami. Through education, support for on-the-ground recovery efforts and funds set aside for future projects, the fund aims to extend recovery efforts in the Oregon/SW Washington region to the Tohoku area of Japan.
